Re: FOR SALE All my Atari stuff
I'd possibly be interested in some of the other parts & am pretty local to you (near Filey on the east coast) - would love the TT as well :D ...but never mind :(trixster wrote: 24 Apr 2023 12:31 I’ve exchanged PM’s with thesofa.
Would anyone else on the forum be interested in any of the items he has listed, other than the TT? I would be ok with collecting his collection and then redistributing items if people have their eye on something but cannot make the journey up to Durham.

Re: FOR SALE All my Atari stuff
I am open for offers still as nothing has been agreed yet!
TT030 with Storm with 256 Mb Ram, Thunder with a CF drive and Lightning, HxC floppy emulator and one of Codekiller's magical Mono/Colour switchers, also 3 STS one has TOS1.0 AND 2.06 switchable with an HD drive, the other two are untested as yet, just bought for spares!!

Re: FOR SALE All my Atari stuff
I'm not interested in the TT Personally.
But if nobody else is interested in due time, then I could potentially take the ST/E machines. I don't really need my own upgrades for them though  But to be honest I would probably use them for spares or test machines. Generally they end up costing like £50+ a pop on evibay + post anyway. Though I would not be able to collect them. They would probably have to be posted unfortunately. But even if they get smashed to pieces in the post, like most things do, then for me personally it would not really matter that much.

Re: FOR SALE All my Atari stuff
@JezC id be ok bringing stuff across to you. Can you have a scan at the list to see what you’d like? I’d pm you and let you know what I think is a sensible price.
At the moment I’d need a few more ppl to pitch in with offers to take stuff before I commit, and I’m sure thesofa would like a firm offer from me sooner rather than later.
I’ve mentioned this on a few other places but so far have not had any interest.
Exxos, appreciate the post. Cards on the table, if I were to be the one paying up front for the collection then I’d be looking for a little more than £50 for an STE.

Yes, STE's do go for a bit more, I was just generalising which is why I said £50+ and throwing it out there as a potential offer. Of course the upgrades/extras would add value as well, but like I said I don't really need them. I don't really need more machines but can you really have too many Atari's ?!
It would be better for someone else to purchase the stuff I think, I was just saying me as a last resort if it helps people get moving with what they want otherwise :)

Re: FOR SALE All my Atari stuff
Understood, and I completely understand the answer you gave!
Keeping things transparent; it’s looking less likely I’ll go ahead with this, so anyone else who’s looking to make thesofa an offer is more than welcome to offer the pitch and I’ll stand aside. The wife is looking at me with the raised eyebrow that says we don’t need anymore machines in the loft. So I’m not ‘out’ just yet, but it’s looking a bit closer to a withdrawal of interest rather than a commitment. Alas, thems the breaks.

I'd say probably not...but my wife definitely disagrees! :)exxos wrote: 25 Apr 2023 20:00 I don't really need more machines but can you really have too many Atari's ?!
Even with most of them relocated into the garage, she is still saying that the Falcon, 3x working STE's plus 3x STFMs + 2x Mega STs are "too many"!
In the interest of domestic harmony I'm not admitting how many are currently boxed up in the garage!

Appreciate the offer re transport!trixster wrote: 25 Apr 2023 19:29 @JezC id be ok bringing stuff across to you. Can you have a scan at the list to see what you’d like? I’d pm you and let you know what I think is a sensible price.
I'll have a look a bit later & may PM you what I'd be interested in if that's OK?
However, I'm probably not going to be able to afford everything bar the TT (if I could, I'd buy the lot myself! :D ) so we would likely need someone else to join forces with us...

Re: FOR SALE All my Atari stuff
Unfortunately I think I’m going to have to drop out of this, sorry @thesofa. I just don’t have the space to keep a load of machines these days and I no longer have the time or drive to spend hours on retro projects. If there’d been a bit of interest in a group buy then maybe it would be a different matter, but alas there doesn’t appear to be. Good luck with the sale, it’s a very decent price for a nice Atari collection.
