FOR SALE All my Atari stuff

Post by thesofa »

After many years I must sell my Atari computers, due to wife and failing Eyesight.
I would like to sell them all at once as follows.

1 TT030 with Thunder, Storm and Lightning and a HxC floppy emulator, external 3.5" floppy drive, 256 Mb TT ram, 4 GB compact flash card, Codekiller's mono/colour switcher Video adapter and a wireless mouse
2 STE upgraded to 4 mb Ram with various mods and an ACSI to SD adapter to boot from you can read about it here https://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=40018, floppy emulator, ST2VGA r4 video adapter, switchable tos 1.04/2.06.New EXxos PSU fitted, new CPU fitted to eliminate DMA problems and keyboard ports resoldered, Atari mouse
3 both of the above connect to a flat screen NEC EA190M monitor with VGA cables and a switch box, giving all possible resolutions from either computer
4 STE to upgrade as above with all parts bought but not fitted, 4 MB Ram switchable TOS and floppy emulator and ACSI to SD HDD.
5 STFM tos 1.o/2.o6 switchable 4MB Marpet expansion and HD floppy fitted, this does not boot at the moment
6 STFM 4MB Tos 1.02 boots but floppy needs replacing
7 STFM unknown Tos as i have not booted it for a very long time
I have floppy emulators for most of them, mostly with support brackets and all control knobs and also various small display screens for the floppy emulators. Also two joysticks to use with any of them with a joystick tester and Joystick extenders for most of them
An Exxos diagnostic Cartridge
IIlyama Vision Master Pro 17" monitor and a Phillips monitor for the ST as well Loads of various bits and pieces to go with it. Make me a sensible offer around The £1000 mark
Please note, buyer to collect from co. Durham UK as I do not have boxes for all of them!
TT030 with Storm with 256 Mb Ram, Thunder with a CF drive and Lightning, HxC floppy emulator and one of Codekiller's magical Mono/Colour switchers, also 3 STS one has TOS1.0 AND 2.06 switchable with an HD drive, the other two are untested as yet, just bought for spares!!

Sorry about your problems.

I have been looking out for a TT030 for a long time and yours looks a very good spec. I'd love to buy everything but it's just too far for me to collect. Someone local will get a great deal.

If you change your mind about boxing it up for courier collection I'm in.

That's a sad reason to be getting rid of these lovely machines. :(

However, I'd be interested at that price (I quite miss my old TT and I could do with some research machines of the STe/FM variety and I'd be able to continue my TT SW meddling). :D

The main question being how long have I got to find the cash?

What a collection! Such a shame you have to sell.
I would love to make an offer, but wouldn't be able to collect.

Hi @thesofa , I think I might be keen to help you out with all this, and I could come up to collect easily enough as I’m only down at york. I’m aware you know Stormy (I think he worked on your TT’s psu?) so he would be a good reference for me :)

I’ll pm you if that’s ok?

I’ll try and message thesofa later this evening or tomorrow.

I’d be ok with arranging onwards distribution of items if people here are interested in certain items, as it would be nice to see stuff go to enthusiasts on this forum. I’d also chat to members of the RMC discord as there’re a bunch of Atari enthusiasts too who would make good homes for well loved machines.

But that would require ppl to lean in and be happy to commit to stuff so I’m not left with machines that really should be in a good retro collection rather than in my loft. I would also not like to be left thinking I need to sell stuff on eBay because the wife is wondering why there’s a load of new kit, and because eBay is a massive hassle full of ppl looking to profiteer.

I’ve exchanged PM’s with thesofa.

Would anyone else on the forum be interested in any of the items he has listed, other than the TT? I would be ok with collecting his collection and then redistributing items if people have their eye on something but cannot make the journey up to Durham.
