Re: STFM case remake
Awesome project, my experience with printing ABS was never very good. I tried some ABS+ that is supposed have less shrinkage and was able to get a decent print every once and awhile. I need a heated chamber.
Re: STFM case remake
Yes it was printed with ABS+. I do see improvements with the + version for shrinkage. The printer has a heated chamber and cools down gradually after the print has finished.WDB wrote: Sun Sep 13, 2020 7:23 pm Awesome project, my experience with printing ABS was never very good. I have been playing around with ePA-CF (carbon fibre nylon) as well. I must admit I am not to impressed with it. It can be very brittle.
Re: STFM case remake
And then there's always someone outdoing it.
Re: STFM case remake
@Icky I think its a great idea to have this removable. It can fit any case such as STE, STFM, Falcon etc, Plus it mean was can custom the case for future remake boards as well
Re: STFM case remake
Got to try out the removable panel prototyping today. One corner part to marry up to the back panel. They fit nice and snuggly together and has given me the dimensions to finalise this option.

Re: STFM case remake
How easy will it be to add the symbols and labels for the inputs/outputs/reset switch?
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
