@rubber_jonnie I don't suppose you know which chip in the Falcon relates to this fix as well?

https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... =17&t=1395

My resistors for both fixes 3&4 have arrived now (just waiting on my recent PSU capacitors order now), I just need to get brave and give it a go, though if I get stuck the members of the local Sydney Amiga Users Group have offered to help me out. They have some professional electrical engineers as members, and have restored lots of other machines.

Excellent.....although that U35 chip is terribly small....I might need a smaller tip for my soldering iron.

Are you able to update the page for the bussed 10k resister to highlight where the "raised leg" connects to on the Falcon.

Thanks.

Ah it might be a smt chip on the falcon, ive not checked.. AFAIK nobody has done the falcon mod yet.. I guess you could just solder the resistors on the back of the floppy connector instead...

Ahh, I looked at the linked topic and assumed. If it's tiny you might be right and it's SMT.

So this is what I'm staring at, you can see the U35 socket at the bottom. The bussed 10k resistor held in place with bluetak prior to soldering.

Pin 6, 8 and 10 have visable vias close by. So maybe easier to use them? Pin 2 I can't see on the pic where it goes but I'm sure it also have a via somewhere. Measure that.

5V on pin 14 also has a via.

Here is a better photo, if I can use those little holes instead of soldering on the legs of the chip, that'd probably be a lot easier.
