Second that.

Are all pins really used?, or is that tool reporting this because all unused pins are tied high/low?

All pins are used.

I have been hospitalised!! I shall report back in a few days. Apologies to anyone who ordered boards since Thursday. I won’t be able to ship them until I’m discharged

This is simply sysinfo being unreliable. It really is a crap piece of software. you will get varying results even with the same CPU. Do a "Make module" test with AIBB for a lot more accurate results.

A kludge is a workaround or quick-and-dirty solution that is clumsy, inelegant, inefficient, difficult to extend and hard to maintain.
