Post by terriblefire »

This thread is for TF330 performance improvements. All firmwares posted in here are ALPHA and may cause your entire town to be vapourized.

With that said i just got burst read working on the TF330 ...

Can confirm the `BURST MODE` firmware working great, only the A4000 is edging it !

I think what I will do tomorrow for people wanting to update their firmware if they have a Raspberry pie 2 or 3, is put a link to my 8gb Raspian image with the program app `xc3sprog` already installed ready to go,so you just need to open a Terminal input the commands and away you go.

Just need to follow Stephens great How To video on the Rasp pi set up and info on the dupont cable locations.
Stephens How to video below

Here is my Dupont cable setup

Great work Steve.
Is the Rev 0 still taking a small speed hit?

I am leaving mine running AmiWolf3D for a few hours to see if there are any crashes... Run frontier also for a bit without issue.

It's been running for about 4 hrs now without crashes. I think we are good.

I just tried playing DoomAttack with 020optimized C2P routine. It's blazing fast. It also one of the rare games that supports Akiko c2p and it shows how painfully slow that one is. ADoom port is quite a lot slower but still playable.

Can we check all the CPU variations before we roll it out.

I've tested the MC68030RP33, MC68030RC50 and the MC68EC030RP40.
