Whoa. :) Isn't one of them an STE? I've been searching for a reasonably priced cover for STE for years. :-/

Re: MMU SMT ADAPTERS - WIP
I've got STE's I think there.. maybe some here... Mostly all my machines have missing PSU and floppy drives though. Never get time to really refurb them or anything. No idea what the going rates for machines is these days ? I stopped buying them a while ago when prices started getting near £100 a machine  I really need to sort all this crap out at some point :roll:mikro wrote: 29 Oct 2018 11:01 Whoa. :) Isn't one of them an STE? Re: MMU SMT ADAPTERS - WIP
If anyone wants a simple soldering project and good with SMT stuff.. I'm just are not getting around to soldering this adapter up.. I can send a PCB + chip & pins to who can build one up to try it...
I still need to work on the GLUE adapter yet as well, not started the lib yet..
Once (ultimately) both are tested, I may look to including the footprint on the mongrel (as intended) or doing some form of funky plug in expansion board which will have both chips on a plug in board.. idea being the PLCC will still be on the board, put will have headers over them to plug in a SMT adapter board.
It may be better having them as a plug in board anyway with the intention of them being replaced with FPGA "one day".
Reason is there are LOTs of SMT GLUE and MMU about.. PLCC are rocking horse shyte these days.,, plus I hope the SMT will overclock better with them being later production runs.

I don't mind having a go exxos, as long as you don't need the results in a hurry (work is busy at the moment and the wife has me decorating )
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
