Its an SGS 27C512-200 - too slow perhaps? I have an STI 27C512-100 I'll try.

To be fair though - I dont know about there - but its been extremely hot here.

Maybe the Ent64 is used to the early 80s when you had to run systems in air conditioned rooms.

Its a far cry from that ATM! :D

Although the custom chips do get a bit toasty, it's only in the 50C range and one of them has a copper plate as a heatsink. Even before I added a few extra heatsinks the machine was stable in 35C temperatures.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...

Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.

New STI 27C512 is in and running my basic program to test.

One thing I found out that I didn't know is that you start off in program 0, but if you type 'edit N' where the N is a number, say 1, then it puts you in a different program space and you have to type 'edit 0' to get back to program 0, but the other programs are maintained in the other program spaces.

Yep, you can have multiple programs, one in each RAM bank, and call them from the other programs using the "chain" command.

From memory, program 0 can be up to 48K in size and the rest up to 32K.

It's a pretty cool feature, shame it wasn't a success, it really seems to be quite forward thinking.
