OK, so back to this fella.

I ran the following this morning:

10 for n = 40 to 130
20 print chr$(n);
30 next n
40 goto 10

and it crashed with this after about 30 minutes:

So I'm currently running the boot up extended test:

And it seems fine but stops at testing refresh, though it does not hang and the machine will continue as expected.

I have it sitting in the word processor just now and also will try it sitting at the 'ENTERPRISE' logo later.

I did check with my thermal camera and there are 2 RAM ICs that are cooler than the rest, but I'm not convinced just yet.

I did also try the new screws and they fit perfectly :)

Need to sort out PCBs for RAM expansion and FDD interface next I think, but lets get the crashy issue resolved first.

That extended test always stops at the "Testing refresh" and never stops until you hit a key. Seems a bit silly not to report back.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

And a crash in word processor mode after about 40 minutes:

I may swap in the old ROM to see what happens with the word processor.

Old ROM is in and so far the word processor is stable.

Perhaps an A15 issue?

Also I just noticed that the ROM file is 66KB and not 64KB when viewed on my Mac, which is odd as it shows as 64 on my windows machine.

It was downloaded on my Mac and I'm wondering if it has messed with it?

May download on my PC and try again with a different ROM.

So it's looking like a ROM issue.

Bad ROM, bad burn or A15? Don't know but it's very stable with the old ROM in it.

I'll burn another copy of EXOS 2.04 to a different ROM and see if that helps, but it's been running for 50 mins now since my last post and seems fine sitting in the word processor.

Still running after lunch, so it would seem to be ROM related.

As for @exxos writing ROMS for the enterprise, he has one to many X's in his moniker :)
