Mmm. Then the disc drive?

I wonder if a transfer offset or something is reported in the SCSI protocol & that's overflowing?

WAGing here, sorry. I tried looking at the DMA/ACSI protocol once and decided it wasn't for me. I assume SCSI's worse. :P

I did a little testing.

Standard Falcon with 14MB + driver 12.71.
Everything copied with Kobold 3.5.
‘Fast-SCSI’ enabled in HDDRUTIL.APP.

Test folder with programmes slightly over 50MB.
First copied to BlueSCSI V2 (micro SD) and back to internal HDD. No errors!
Then to an external Sun SCSI HDD 1GB.
No errors.

Copied a single 50MB file to the external SCSI Sun HDD again. No errors.

Can you install 12.53 just to make sure something else isn't in the mix..

Note it needs to be installed as dont think just running driver works..

Clean boot... Use TOS copying..

I have a 14MB Falcon that when operating without DFB1X and TTRam, I am copying large audio files back and forth between IDE and bluescsi. I'm using Kobold for that. I have been using HDDriver 12.53.

I ran into Kobold hanging and bombs appearing only when I installed DFB1X and activated TTRam. Then I had to use the 64KB limit via ALTRAMFX.PRG. This has now been inserted into 12.71 so no need for ALTRAMFX.PRG in the Auto folder.

Quickly installed the 12.53 driver. Copied a 50MB file to the SCSI Sun HDD. No errors with Kobold. I'll test the other one tomorrow, then I have to go to work. It seems to hang over TOS... :o :?

Badwolf wrote: 24 Sep 2025 12:13 Here's a small program that does nothing but steal ST-RAM from your system starting as low as possible in memory.
Confirmed it worked by ~10MB free listed in desktop config.

Tried copying large file, locked up as expected. Copying small file passes, so same as before. So basically no change :(

Will try Jookies program next..

I suppose it proves it's not a RAM location problem at least.
