Interests in the CT60e still ?

Post by exxos »

Are people still interested in obtaining a CT60e ?

I always felt it was a much better install than the original. I have been thinking of trying to revive this great project for some time now. Though only worth the effort if people are still interested in it..

I'd be interested...but probably would need to get a suitable CPU (and maybe a second Falcon) as well.

If we could swap between a stock and boosted Falcon without lots of soldering I'd reduce that to just needing the CPU...

I don't think there is any soldering needed for the CT60e. There's a jumper to enable / disable CT60 mode, that's kinda it anyway IIRC.

Does the CT60e allow other cards for the expansion bus (for example the Nova Falcon) to be stacked on top? If yes I might be interested.

According to the picture it looks like on of the pin headers is duplicated on the card, but there doesn't seem to be a duplicated pin hearer for the smaller one.

AFAIK it doesn't support expansion cards (maybe a bit of a moot point as I don't believe they are made any longer?) . While there is an expansion header, I have no idea what its for.

Maybe someone else knows ?

Not as moot as you might think: I actually have a Nova Falcon with a Mach32 graphics card, which I currently can't use because the DFB1X doesn't pass through the expansion header.

People have got around that problem by soldering a header on top.
