I did run a few games last night and they all worked fine that I tried. Is there possibility to turn on mono?
Mind you, these were all the "adapted" games from sources like P.Pera, Dbug and Klaz.
Not tried any of the "Euro" style demo's yet. I'll try some of those later today.
For all intents and purposes that I've thrown at it thus far, it behaves just like the screen on the SC1224,
albeit *much* improved.
I've not worked with mono yet, but my understanding is I just need to add a switch connecting a point on
the external monitor port and ground? and it's supposed to set it to mono then. You can scroll back through
this message thread - Derkom posted about that earlier. He also has a video of a demo running just a few
pages back from here.
Another really interesting thing is, the STacy's external color monitor port is *not* disabled by this mod.
So yeah - you can have 2 screens going at once. Last night I had the screen on the STacy working along
with an identical screen on my SC1224 beside of it. That means, in theory at least, you could put one
of those UBE style VGA adapters on the external monitor port and feed it to that popular Dell 27"
monitor, all while using the screen on the STacy. I'm thinking some industrious soul could use this at
an Atari show? How about 4 player Gauntlet 2 on a Dell 27" monitor at a show table for the crowd? :)
