Just a quick update - the picture I posted above is *correct*.
The 3 wires are in the right locations.
I have the RGB2HDMI mod currently working, outputting to
one of those popular Dell 27" monitor's at the moment.
Because...the replacement LCD screen and controller board
I bought specifically for the STacy is dead on arrival. :(
Ordering replacements but I have to wait for the slow boat
from China to get it here.

Re: STacy external monitor port?
In the hope that this will help any other STacy owner who's attempting to do this mod...here's my STacy's
motherboard, labeled with the 3 wires (Blank, Vsync + Hsync) that come from the 12 bit buffer board.
I'm not sure if there is any variation in the wiring with different STacy motherboard revisions. Mine is the
"C103999-001" Rev. B version.

Thanks! The dead on arrival, brand new replacement screen and controller board
was a real kick in the nether regions though. :(

Re: STacy external monitor port?
Took it to an IT friend of mine who works at the county library. We
spent about 2 hours, trying different combinations of power supplies,
cables, etc. We tried using the VGA out, the DVI out, etc, in case the
HDMI out was messed up. Tried it with different machines.
Under the fluorescent lighting of his office, we were able to barely
make out an image on the screen once. So for whatever reason, the
screen itself or the controller board, the backlight is shot. <shrugs>
Just my luck (or lack thereof). :) Got another one on the way...

Oh, in case I didn't mention it, I'm using the complete RGB2HDMI kit with
the 12 bit buffer board from here:

Re: STacy external monitor port?
Okay, I've got a really weird situation with this setup and one monitor.
This is only with the Dell 27" monitor, mind you. I've only got so many
modern monitors here to try out. The Viewsonic on the Win10 box seems
to be okay.
Anyway, I'll get a blank screen with the Dell 27". I can touch the slim style
HDMI cable that goes to the Dell, and the screen comes on. At first, I just
figured I had a bad connection, being intermittent. I thought it was when
I moved the cable so I tried tracking down the culprit, working on both
ends and examining the cable itself. I can't find anything. It finally dawned
on me that it wasn't when I moved the cable, but when I touched it, or
held it between 2 fingers. I made sure I wasn't moving it by placing it flat
on the desk and repeating this little experiment over and over. Always the
same, the screen goes black when I'm not touching it and comes on in
glorious color when I touch it.
I'm assuming something to do with signal but has anyone had anything strange
like this happen to them?
Thanks.

Re: STacy external monitor port?
Just a quick follow up on this...
Now that I've got the replacement LCD screen installed in the STacy
and working, I went back and swapped out the standard, shielded
HDMI->HDMI Mini cable for the slim ones in the picture above.
On the Dell 27" monitor, it wouldn't work unless I physically held on
to the ribbon cable itself.
But...it works fine with the replacement LCD in the STacy.
It's a strange universe we live in friends.
Beats the crap out of me, but I'll take it.
