I don't know how I managed it either, I just had a talent for finding or causing odd problems.
I'll do exactly as you suggest, hopefully this afternoon, it's pretty much what I did last week but I hadn't set up the ini file.
And it's a Falcon that I'm using,
Cheers,
Simon

I'll be waiting on the results with interest :)smoore100 wrote: 24 Jun 2024 11:44 I don't know how I managed it either, I just had a talent for finding or causing odd problems.

What is the NE4.HDA file for? That's not a descriptor from the settings page and may confuse things.

Re: BlueSCSI 2 query
from here:
Your text file should look like the example below:
[SCSI]
WiFiSSID=MyWiFi
WiFiPassword=pass123
# Optional - Each Pico-W will generate its own MAC address, so only add this if needed.
# WiFiMACAddress=00:80:19:C0:FF:EE
Create another new text file and rename it to NE4.hda
The ‘NE4’ stands for network and the SCSI ID (4 is used in this example). Be sure to choose an unused SCSI ID! This will reserve the SCSI ID and allow the Wi-Fi DaynaPORT feature to work.

Re: BlueSCSI 2 query
The partitions on the SD now on my desktop.
Tried the card on my windows machine and it can’t even open the drive - definitely looks like it is trying to mount the first partition but as it is a TOS compatible drive it can’t.
Still can’t work out why after partitioning it does this, I’d expect to be able to see the hda image files and the ini file.
Where have they gone!

OK, that makes sense for the NE4 drive then, it's not a feature I have as I have only BlueSCSI 1's.smoore100 wrote: 24 Jun 2024 15:23 The partitions on the SD now on my desktop.

By desktop I presume you mean on the Falcon?
Otherwise I have no idea what you're doing, the partitions are inside the HDA file, the SD card should be completely unaffected by what is inside a file stored on it.
You're not connecting the BlueSCSI to a Windows machine are you? Because that won't work either, the BlueSCSI will just mount your HDA file and that is all Windows will see, partitions it can't handle. If this is what you're doing, you just need to plug the SD card into your Windows machine, not the whole BlueSCSI device.
Unless you are trying to use the HDA file with Hatari, in which case you have to mount the HDA file from within Hatari, not mount it in Windows.

@smoore100 I think we've exhausted all options here on this forum (with our combined knowledge) I recommend you ask in the Discord server now, as they will be better equipped to solve this for you.

Re: BlueSCSI 2 query
Yep, good call - I'll have a fiddle with the Dynaport stuff in the meant time.
Thanks for all your help guys, it's been quite a journey over the past few weeks getting back up to speed with these machines, let alone all of the great new stuff that is being developed!
And I've got the PARC-USB thing for file transfers which has been working perfectly since it arrived on Saturday.
Cheers,
Simon

Re: BlueSCSI 2 query
Quick update - it works!
I missed an obvious step of using the SD Formatter utility to completely format the SD card, turns out that some SD card can have a hidden partition that a normal format from an OS doesn't clear.
Good old Discord helped as suggested in this thread.
I can now see the drives correctly and the WIFI is connecting, as confirmed in the log file and also when I look at connected devices on my network.
Sting is my next job!
Thanks all,
Simon
