BlueSCSI 2 query

Post by smoore100 »

Hi

I'm about to buy one of these:

https://shop.flamelily.co.uk/desktopuk2

I think I'm ok connecting the device via SCSI to my Falcon, pretty sure I have the right lead, but how do I get power to the device?

Many thanks,

Simon

There's a micro USB plug on the device

If the Falcon provides power over SCSI (I can't remember if it does) then it will provide power. If it doesn't, then you can power it via USB. There is a jumper to select where it gets power from so you can choose.

Thanks both

Didn’t spot the USB until I looked closer, just the connector that looked like a floppy power connector.

I shall place the order - stand by for my next set of stupid questions!

Cheers,

Hi,
i am using a BlueSCSI II with my Falcon030 without additional power supply.
There is just the SCSI cable between the BlueSCSI and the Falcon.

Brilliuant - that sounds even better, I have placed the order and will see how it goes.

Many thanks,

Be really nice if you can get a 3d printed box for it :) mines internal since I've got an internal SCSI port in my falcon. It fits in the case on top of my gotek drive quite nicely.

I did find an stl file for an external case which if i can remember where I found it will try it out tonight.

Most of them are just brackets for internal mounting but this one looks ok.
