Raspberry Pis are no-longer "realtime" devices, they're "sometime" devices. :-)

(Actually, as soon as you have multiple cores accessing the hardware you can't guarantee timing due to contention.)
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Truly awesome stuff going on there! <bows>

I'd be curious to see the results of a GemBench comparison between the PiSTorm
and a full blown 50 mhz Pak 68/3 (68030 and 68882 FPU with Alt-RAM)...I'm pretty
sure the PiSTorm would still batter it handily but it would be entertaining. :)

PS Or the TF boards...

Benchmarks are here https://exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/TF536/index.htm

Though the PIStorm would need benchmarking in ST-medium res for a proper comparison. Though looking at the results already, I think the PiStorum would be way faster.

Thanks. The TF's seem to be great performers.

I'd be interested in the TF / PiSTorm and 50mhz Pak 683/3 / PiSTorm
comparisons but from what I've seen and read, you're absolutely right,
the PiSTorm is gonna be the new standard.

Really looking forward to watching it's development. :)

I don't have PAK/30 with ALT-RAM results - but here are my tests
with 68020 ref PAK030

So it looks like you referenced STFM for this test

I have just realised the performance is even better if using 800x600x256 so the earlier tests can offer better Display performance
If anyone @exxos has GB6 results for PAK030 with ALT-RAM or results for any other high performance setups, could they send me them please
