Just thinking out loud more than anything..
But if a register was set up as a control bit for a whole 16MB fast-ram bank, could the alt-ram driver working such a way that instead of looking at normal address space, it would set a control bit in the register, which would bank switch a separate 16MB block of alt-ram.. In theory even just a 8bit register could switch 8x16MB banks of ram for 128MB of fast-ram..
Or probably to keep things simpler, just reuse the existing alt-ram space multiple times bank switching. Then have a control register switch 8 banks of 8MB... The logic is certainly possible, but I don't know if he could be actually implemented in software or not..
