DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

What shall I do with all this stuff?

Tool suggestions, soldering tips, general useful electronics knowhow.

What shall I do with all this stuff?

Post by Steve »

Hi all,

My industrial sized UPS finally kicked the bucket, and for various reasons I'll be replacing it with a new one. Just wondering if I should de-solder any of the parts on its main motherboard? Do they have any value for resale, like ebay? Or is there anything handy to keep for my own projects.

Thanks,

Steve

Probably not worth much either way, but if your looking to sell, sell the lot as faulty.

Ah okay. I was just looking at those massive caps (the size of a can of coke) and thinking.. If I had to buy those I bet they'd cost me a lot lol. Same with those coils, they're the size of a golf ball.
