If you don't know the Superstation is a commercial MiSTer clone. The FPGA SoC that has lots of Arcade and Retro computing cores (Including Hybrid cores encorporating PiSTorm).

It's a MiSTer clone, an FPGA. Reconfigurable hardware. It can be anything that will fit inside the FPGA.

Unlike software emulation MiSTer uses real hardware to recreate the computers/consoles. They are still re-interpretations but they are a lot closer to the original (and in some cases actually use the original designs converted from netlists and schematics)

As well has HDMI out it has analog 15KHz and 31KHz video and analog stereo audio. So it can with the right cable connect to a CRT TV

I can't collect Arcade machines (again). I had about 10-15 but I'm down to just 2. They just take up way too much room and always need maintenance. I think I will mainly use MiSTer to play the odd arcade game on CRT (rather than play Mame on Pi5 as I do today)

Plus there are one or two systems it can do that I can't justify the current eBay prices for (e.g. Sega 32x, Atari Jaguar CD, x68000)

It does look much better over analog RGBS on 28" CRT TV than my Pi5 over HDMI on 65" Plasma even running at 60Hz with VSYNC and CRT shaders

Wow, you could've opened your own arcade, but I get what you mean about maintenance, they do carry a lot of baggage.

I can imagine anything looks better over a CRT, I just don't have the space for them.
