How to remove a mark/stain on a key without damage.

Post by Cosmic Puppet »

I was trying to remove a mark on a key. Instead the dye from the stripes on the dishcloth have transferred on to it.

It's all packed away for a move, but would like to fix it in the future.

I'd go for a little IPA on a cotton bud but stay away from the letter as I don't think they are double shot keys like on the XLs.
Collector of many retro things!

Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

Thank you! Don't know why I didn't think of this, since I removed a distracting sticker from a storage case the other day and used it for the remaining sticker glue. :clown:

No worries.

As an aside and relating to sticker glue, WD40 is fantastic for removing that.
