Today is the last day for Eagle PCB Design from Autodesk. The subscription version last one 9.6.2 is no longer supported and people are being encouraged to move over to Fusion their latest offering of essentially Eagle in Fusion and moving even more into the cloud / subscription model. At least with Eagle your files still remained on your local machine.

I expect a lot of people have moved to KiCad.

Eagle PCB Design last day
Re: Eagle PCB Design last day
I gave it a whirl to see what it's like. Its is like Eagle inside Fusion a few things in different places but the view change to 3D is quite smooth.

Got to admit as this is Fusion the 3D side of the PCB boards is a lot better

Don't be tempted by the dark side, Icky!
I'm very close to even jacking in Fusion for 3D design work. It's seeming to get progressively harder to work with over time and the online-ness is getting more and more obtrusive.

@Badwolf what are you using instead?
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
Re: Eagle PCB Design last day
For PCBs I've always used Kicad (well apart from a day in around 1995 when I used OrCAD!). For 3D modelling, I've not yet chosen a replacement for Fusion. I'm just really starting to get the hump with it.

Re: Eagle PCB Design last day
For 3D modelling I highly recommend Onshape (online browser based CAD) it's very powerful but easy to use, similar to Solidworks.Badwolf wrote: Mon Jun 08, 2026 12:30 pm For 3D modelling, I've not yet chosen a replacement for Fusion. I'm just really starting to get the hump with it.
