Strange floppy contents vanishing

Stock H5 system. TOS104 or 206 makes no odds.

Format floppy on pc. Save a file to it.
Put floppy in ST. Files read fine.
Save desktop.
Press ESC files still there.
Put floppy into pc. Files vanished.

I've repeatedly done the same test and somehow writes to floppy cause the pc not to see the files anymore :stars:

I half recall I had issues like this with original Atari drives vs Sony drives in the pc. I think I just started to use Sony drives in everything and those odd problems went away... Until now...

I have noticed that when i was transfer data or disk content with a floppy between my ST and a PC.

there's a moment when the disk is even killed, you can't format it correctly then and the disk remains corrupted. happened to me when pasti was used on Atari ST, then tracks were packed in Pasti archive format to pass on a PC.
