A500+ Bar-B-Q

Post by Droopy »

I most likely fried my A500+ and TF560 board and need some help to get it back to life..

I was trying to install an CF adapter and Buffered IDE to my defence none of the cards had pin 1 on them so I connected them as logical I could.. Stupid move. Now The TF would not boot only showing kickstart screen.

Removed the TF560 and put back the 68000 cpu.. No joy got some very strange behavious.

The Amiga kind of "boots" I get 2 "gurus" after each other THEN I get a kickstart screen.

Trying to boot from Df0: it try to start the boot but gets into an endless loop of gurus and recoveral alerts.

On the TF card I suppose I fried the Xilink since that one is doing the IDE things..

The Amiga itself that refuse to boot I am more puzzled about and could need some experienced help to solve.

I know the CPU is involved pretty much directly to the TF's IDE and might be dammaged but where else to look ?

The problem is purely related to "reversed ide" connection on the TF card so atleast it is narrowed down to that.

The startup colours looks normal (greyish black) then 2 gurus after each other klicking left button.. Then a kickstart screen that would not boot from DF0: (1st time I se a Guru before the kickstart screen)

What chips are involved in this scenario ?

Would be greatful for any kind of help that points me in the right direction..
