My last simm production a few weeks back, I produced a lot of simms. I bought the DRAM from years ago (not from china!) when costs wasn't so crazy. These were all manufactured in the UK!
These are NOT the typical 1.2mm thick simms which I found don't fit well in "old" STE sockets. As stated before, people have used simms in their STE sockets which bent the sockets out of shape because the simms were to thick for the sockets. This is VERY common. So these simms were custom made (higher expense than typical 1.2 / 1.6mm PCBs) at 1.4mm thickness to ensure they fit well in old and new simm sockets.
These are the simms which had a short between 2 of the edge connector pins which has already been cut on all the simms. There is nothing wrong with them other than the cut being cosmetic.
I really want to clear out the lot as I have also have a second batch of simms, where I bought DRAM (at a MUCH higher price) and while I was going to list the "fixed" simms in the store at a lower price, I really don't have time to test them all. So sold "as is", untested. I can pop a couple out of a panel on a video as proof they work if required.
There are ~56 panels of 14 simms per panel. Works out about £3.22p per simm. So looking to sell the lot at cost for £2,520.
They can be taken to CL4 if someone wants to buy on the day, as postage (not included in the price!) will be expensive.
