Programing 6 Eproms with TOS image

Post by pe1goo »

Hi,
I've an Atari 260ST and want to update the ROMS. I've a suitable tos bin image and want to program it into the 6 EPROMS. Is there a tool to split the image into 3 HI and LOW files so I can program the 32K*8 PROMS?
Greetings,

You can use Peter Putniks TOS splitter:

I use it under Hatari.

I'll try this, fortunately I have hatari so it must be no problem.

Attached is an archive of the ROM splitting tools I've used including the 6 ROM set of TOS 1.04 UK.

They do work under Hatari, that is what I used to split them in the past. Use a GEMDOS drive set up to get them out of Hatari for burning.

I suspect your 260ST is very similar to my 520ST so 6x27C512 ROMs should work. Remove .txt from the end to use as a ZIP file, this is necessary since ZIP is not an allowed uploadable file type.
