TF1260 + RTC = No boot
My Amiga 1200 did run fine with a TF1230 and a RTC (AmigaKit) installed.
I recently purchased and installed a TF1260 with a gen.6 060. If i have the RTC installed the computer doesnt boot. Just a dark grey screen and no drive click. If i remove the RTC everything works fine. I tried a different RTC of another brand but i'm facing the same problem with no boot.
Specs: Amiga 1200, 1D4
Kickstart ROM 3.2.3
AmigaKit RTC
Indivision AGA MK3
A-PSU
Amigastore CF-card adapter connected to the EHIDE-connector of the TF-board.
The TF1260 has the latest firmware Alpha 68090
The computer is recapped, but the timing-fix is not done.
Have someone experienced the same issue as me and got it working somehow with a RTC along with TF1260?
Regards Marten

Jan Beta did an install video on it, somewhere around 42 minutes he shows the RTC install:

Are you sure you did not skip a few pins?

Well i'm sure that pins are aligned correctly. I had it installed/uninstalled many times so far and it works in my second A1200. Maybe i go for a test and install the TF1260 and the RTC in my second A1200 and see if it works there.

Re: TF1260 + RTC = No boot
The clockport connector on the A1200 motherboard only has a few signals:
VCC/Ground
Reset
Address lines
Data lines
So it would be almost impossible for the hardware to have an issue unless it is broken or not seated on the correct pins/ pins are shorting.
Do you still have the metal shielding installed and does it maybe short something out?
Does the Amiga boot up to the kickstart screen with only the RTC installed?
When the Amiga starts to boot from a cold start, does it display the grey screen immediately?
Does the HDD light indicate that it is loading something from HDD/CF?
If the module is installed correctly and not defective, it will only answer to a few addresses in memory, that should not be an issue at all.
Maybe you have something in your startup that does something with the clockport connection like an old clockport device?
Edit:
Also make sure it is not the HDD/CF that is giving the issue, also test without that.

Re: TF1260 + RTC = No boot
I have now tried the TF1260-card and the RTC in another Amiga 1200 that has the timing fix done. And with that Amiga it works just fine. Boots up straight away. Both are 1D4´s. So i need to do the timing-fix on my primary A1200 that has the TF1260 and hope that it solves the problem.

Re: TF1260 + RTC = No boot
After doing the timing-fix the problem were still there. I cannot have any RTC installed with the TF1260. The computer won't do a POST and boot. No floppydrive clicking either, just a dark grey screen.
I have now found the problem.
There seems to be a problem with the Kickstart ROM's 3.2.3 with EHIDE support.
As soon as i tried a couple of Kickstart ROM's 3.2.2 without EHIDE-support the computer does a POST successfully and i see the Kickstart screen.
I don't know if the problem is in the ROM's or if the error actually lays in the TF1260 firmware? I should'nt be the only one that this has happend to.

Re: TF1260 + RTC = No boot
Hm ok thanks for that info. Could it be something different in my ROM's then? They are from AmigaStore.eu.
Tried the roms and the TF1260 + RTC in two different A1200´s and got the same issue. Both machines worked if i changed rom's to 3.2.3 without ehide.
