It's not much, but, it's a start!!
Next step is to figure out if I can program the ATF1508 using OpenOCD on a Raspberry Pi.
Well, given that it has a JTAG, and seems to have a profile for an ATF1502, and, I need to convert the .jed to an svf
(I've got a USB blaster knock off that I use to program the Vampire A600 too, so, that's an option, probably!)

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

@Mikerochip good luck with your builds. Bert advice I can give id to do the difficult surface mount chips first.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Thanks! That's how I normally start, I make a "build order" list, and see what it looks like.PhilC wrote: 27 Jun 2025 12:55 @Mikerochip good luck with your builds. Bert advice I can give id to do the difficult surface mount chips first.
I've got the XR68M752 soldered, to start. I'm still buying parts.
I'd previously built 3x mATX ST boards. (Which all booted up first time! I was more amazed than anyone else!!)
I'm just finishing up two ACSItoSTM32 (Compact) builds (Bunch of 0402 parts. Which **suck** to hand solder)
The Raven looks much easier by comparison. Very well disposed to system builders, with all the 1206 parts!

Woo! Thanks! It's still very much in the nest atm :lol:kodak80 wrote: 28 Jun 2025 00:09 @Mikerochip good luck with your builds. Will be good to have more Ravens flying. :)
Building one for me, one for my friend Pat! (Who also got a mATX ST :) )
And, I still have no idea if we can substitute in PSRAM in place of SRAM.
(I did open a git issue, but, maybe it's best to ask here??)
So get building! Maybe design a way for us to hammer a tf536 or something into the Raven.
Maximum compatibility?!?
There exists boards to connect a 68060 into 68040 machines...
maybe we could go the other way?!?! design a 68040 board to run in a 68060 PGA211 socket...
Or some strange side board that lets me use a 68882 with a 68LC060.... ??
(Don't take those suggestions too seriously ;) )
Either way... build one! Have fun!
Don't be left out! You too can have a Raven060 :Pexxos wrote: 27 Jun 2025 16:21 I'm starting to feel left out with so many people building one currently
Just build one!!
What's the worst that could happen??? :o 8-)
We're all just doing this for fun!
