replace keyboard controller HD6301V1P OF3. Atari 520STFM

Hello. Can i replace keyboard controller HD6301V1P OF3 with HD6301V1P 3F1? I think they could have different firmware. Atari 520STFM.
If not? How can i replace it?

There's no "firmware" built-in, the HD6301 code is uploaded by TOS upon boot.

Hmm, no. The HD6301 has ROM "burned" at factory.

It is possible to upload a small amount of code that would run from RAM. Some demos do that. But that has very limited functionality because there is so little RAM space available.
