So it’s just a PC….

Was not looking for a retro PC but for 50 euro I just needed to buy it.
So what is it. It’s a HP Kayak workstation grade. System.
It came with:

Intel pentium 3 @ 500 (Will upgrade to 600 one because I have such a processor)
128mb ecc
SCSI HD 9 gb
Cd rom
Floppy
Intel Bx chipset
Matrox G200 videocard
Hp branded soundcard (Aztec 2320)

So why was it (probably cheap):
The small lcd panel when connected does not work and makes the system very unstable. Somebody soldered on the part already.
When disconnected the system is stable.
Cables were not connected properly.
Very dirty (somebody cleaned it with water or something but all dirt dryed up. Nicotine stains.
The fans are really loud.
Some plastic part are very brittle.

What I already did and plan:
Fixed the floppy drive (was stuck)
Cleaned it.
Will replace all fans (not done yet)
Glue plastic

Fix lcd display (I think the voltage regulator ic is broken. My best guess)
Add voodoo 2 SLI (plan)

Nice purchase and good work! What year would you say it's from? Early noughties?
