STacy Memory Board

So am I looking at this right? This is a spare memory/TOS daughter board that I had stored away.

It looks to me like it's got mixed speed RAM, both 80ns and 100ns. Is that right? IIRC, mixed speeds
is not optimal, correct?

If so, is there anywhere I can still find 80ns RAM for this board to replace the 100ns chips?

I still find some "faster" RAMs on auction sites, but they tend to be pricey...

Those speeds are right for for sure, but it could still be optimal if the spec only requires 100ns RAM, in which case the 80ns parts will run slower.

Of course if it'll run with faster then you should.

Got lucky - Best Electronics still has 80ns SIPP RAM sticks for the
STacy in stock.

Picked up a pair, got them in the mail today. :)

Ooh. Are they SIPP? Looks like the picture has a socket and are SIMM? Cool.

Or did I misunderstand and they are being placed somewhere else?

They are SIPP's.

The STacy sub-board (memory + TOS, etc) has the SIPP
sockets although I've seen them soldered in directly to
make clearance. It's pretty tight in there. :)

(I think the first picture I posted is actually the one
that's different)

BTW, the bottom board in that last picture is non-functional.

I removed, cleaned and reinstalled the socketed chips but
that made no difference.

I then replaced the socketed chips with known working ones
from another board and that also made no difference.

To my (old, failing) eyes, the board looks fairly clean.
