DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

TF1260 slow IDE speed

Post by Amigaz »

I'm am a new owner of a TF1260 with a 68060 rev 6 CPU.
The problem I am having is that I am only getting 4MB/s read speeds from the IDE interface on the TF1260. I've seen people getting around 6MB/s.
I am using kickrom 3.2.2 chips with the ehide.device in ROM. I am also using MMULib and MuFastROM to remap the kickrom into Fast RAM.
I've tried a bunch of different CF cards and tested in WB3.1 and AmigaOS 3.2.2.1 but still getting 4MB/s.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong? :?:

What firmware? cpuspeed should
tell you.

4MB/s is indicative of older firmwares

I just bought it from Amigastore.eu and according to the product info it should have the latest firmware https://amigastore.eu/en/873-terrible-f ... b-ide.html

I will double check with the cpu speed tool to see which firmware that is on the card

I don't have any suggestions.

I have one suggestion to rule out an OS configuration problem: Ask someone who is getting 6mb/s to image their CF card for you, then write that image to your card and test it out.

Try a different CF card adapter.
