Building a TT/MSTe ET4K card

Post by Steve »

Inspired by artik-wroc's work over on Atari Forum (link)

I ordered some PCB's and parts. Here is my build so far:

I have 4 blank PCBs if anyone wants.

How much do you want for a PCB?

Wow! How many parts need to be desoldered from the original card?

About 4 chips I think. The et4k, the DAC and two ICS chips.

And the 8 memory chips for 1Mb of video ram. But they are in sockets usually.

This is a great idea, I hate having the cables coming out of my Mega STE. But an even cooler idea would be to do it for Mach 64 cards: the ISA versions are hard to find and very expensive, but the PCI versions are plentiful and cheap on eBay and elsewhere.
