Hi,
Hopefully it is not "too early" (nor treading on any toes) to have a discussion about holding this event again at some stage during 2025 ?
Just speaking from a visitor point of view from last year, CiH and I were of the impression that the location at Toddington Village Hall and the day itself was the best yet. I have checked the dates and, at the time of writing, the hall is available every Saturday in September, for the whole day. We'll probably have to agree amongst ourselves a suitable date. Current pricing is around £23.50 per hour.
Hopefully the earlier this is announced and confirmed - the easier it may well be to get more people to visit on the day itself ? September is a few months away I know, but people should (hopefully!) be able to put dates for then into their calendars and visit.
Sellers (for example, Retro Lemon) tend to need a few months notice so they can plan to attend, as long as the chosen date is suitable.
Cheers.

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: Cyber Legends 2025
Hi @felicemaggie, you beat me to the post. I had mentioned to the other moderators that I was going to start with the CL 2025 organisation soon.
So all, please comment on your ideas for CL2025 please. Some have mentioned a vintage musical instruments section amongst others. I'll sort out some kind of daft competition or two along the way. Maybe a coding comp[etition, the best and worst computers shown, etc.
And of course if you can help with the organisation or on the day, then please let us know.

Re: Cyber Legends 2025
It would be great to see a bit more of a fuss kicked up about CL 2025... as 2024 was the poorest turnout ever. It'd be awesome if we can reach out to other communities, to try and get a diverse range of computer systems on display. I agree that particular hall was the best yet, with very good access and parking. Can popular youtube channels like RMC help advertise? I tried to advertise the 2024 event in their Discord last time.

Re: Cyber Legends 2025
I'm interested...but need to flag up early doors that the end of the month is likely to be more problematic for me as I will most likely have to drop both my teenagers off at different universities in the last week or two of September.
So, I'd be interested but would favour early dates.
As soon as I get any ideas on actual dates I can't attend, I'll let you know...and one option might be to drop the kids off during the week (but that depends on when the halls/accommodation are confirmed.
As the location & hence dates for my daughter will depend on her A level results, I won't know for sure until August...

Re: Cyber Legends 2025
I seemed to have missed this thread.
We definitely need to get on this; especially the actual date, to improve on last year.
So, unless @PhilC has any different ideas, and as @JezC has been good enough to pipe up, he gets his preference:
How does Saturday 6th September at Toddington Town Hall, Leighton Buzzard sound?
10am-6pm exhibitors (11am-5pm general public) as before.
The more people can chip in ASAP, the sooner we will finalise/lock down the date/venue and we can get the planning moving on.
So please chip in, either way, so we know if its a good date.
Obviously, Phil and myself have some talking to do as well. :D

Re: Cyber Legends 2025
This is a good start. :)
How about we leave this up and put a date suggestion lockdown deadline of... lets say Feb 14th?
The reason being that I have the week off after that and have a good chance of getting the ball rolling and sorting a bunch of stuff out.
Also, I think, having a full on in depth conversation thread about the suggested event date for months (like last year) probably didnt do any good.
One thing it *did* help with is using the poll data for the above suggested date/time!
Does this all sound reasonable?

I'll check for any family bookings @mrbombermillzy and get back to you ASAP...
Hoping that I can get it on the calendar before anything else and so avoid a repeat of last year
