Indivision ECS v4 allows RTG (graphics card) functionality for any ECS Amiga. It is installed in place of Denise, which it completely replaces.
It supports all PAL modes but also offers 256/65,000 color RTG modes. For example, running the OS at 1024 x 768 with 256 colors is entirely feasible and faster than using the ECS mode at 640 x 512 with 16 colors. According to P96 speed tests, it outperforms the Picasso II graphics card in a Zorro II slot.
Many late-era Amiga games with RTG support work with it. Unfortunately, however, a significant number of these games require a 68040 or 68060 CPU to run properly.
Here few
Payback, GTA clone with CDTV
Genetic Species, Paradroid 3D
Alien Breed 3D II
Doom

That's really cool! So when you say ECS, that's basically Amiga 500 plus, and a600?

For RTG, P96 driver requires accelerator with MMU,
Videos has made with CDTV, which has TF536 accelerator.

Re: IComp's Indivision ECS v4 RTG support
Jens / Individual Computers had to do something, RGB2HDMI killed the Indivision for OCS/ECS machines...
"Many late-era Amiga games with RTG support work with it. Unfortunately, however, a significant number of these games require a 68040 or 68060 CPU to run properly."
And there's the final nail in the coffin provided by PiStorm, RTG with 040 equivalent CPU power.
Why would ya buy an Indivision...

I wouldn't buy / get PiStorm. Simply not interested emulated CPU.
PiStorm with RTG however requires monitor swapping, or uses two imput or to monitors. Indivision ECS uses only one output for a video, so swapping between native / RTG modes is invisible for user.

Yep you're absolutely right. Swapping plugs is a right pain. But there are solutions to solve that. Switching boxes etc.
It's all a personal choice and I do respect yours. But I have saved a ton (or tonne) of money going the RGB2HDMI + PiStorm route and really, it's all the same for way less. And, if there's a fault or a problem, I gotta say the support out there for both projects is flippin' brilliant.
You ever tried to contact Jens for support? Wow-wee. It's always your fault.

I saved money using SCART and LCD-TVs.RGB2HDMI is little unsturdy solution and it is not "plug'n play".matt020 wrote: 02 Jan 2025 12:24 Yep you're absolutely right. Swapping plugs is a right pain. But there are solutions to solve that. Switching boxes etc.

RGB2HDMI does not allow to play Genetic Species, Alien Breed 3d II, Payback, etc. with OCS/ECS Amiga

I don't know? I'll test it tomorrow. Though, wondering why P96's Shapeshiter driver would not work with it?

They are working on a simple solution to the swapping...utri007 wrote: 02 Jan 2025 10:26 PiStorm with RTG however requires monitor swapping, or uses two imput or to monitors. Indivision ECS uses only one output for a video, so swapping between native / RTG modes is invisible for user.
