Royal Mail has suspended postal export services to Canada due to a strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW). The strike began on November 15, 2024.
Canada Post is holding items sent to Canada until the strike ends, and will deliver them in the order they were received.
The CUPW is asking for a 22% wage increase over four years, better benefits, and protection from some technological changes. Canada Post has offered half the wage increase. The two sides are also negotiating over working conditions and the company's plan to deliver mail seven days a week.
Canada Post has been facing financial losses since 2016, due to a decline in the number of letters being sent and increased competition from Amazon, FedEx, and UPS.
Any items already shipped to Canada (and not yet arrived) will experience considerable delays.
Do not order items to Canada as we will be unable to ship until the strike is over.

Unable to ship to Canada
Re: Unable to ship to Canada
The strike is now over.
Re: Unable to ship to Canada
Thanks for letting me know. Royal mail are still not accepting packages until they have been given the go-ahead by Canada.
Re: Unable to ship to Canada
I'm receiving overseas packages now, so Canadapost must have recinded the hold at source.
