JP18 720k/1.44mb
JP19 720k/1.44mb
Drive A/B Swap
Installed GLUE, MMU, SHIFTER, C100110-001, WD1772, YM2149F, EF6850P (x2) from a non-working 1040ST.
Installed new CPU, 1.02/1.04 TOS ROM, MFP 68901, DS1315, 4mb RAM Using a cable that switches between Color/Monochrome video modes and known working PSU I powered up the board. It boots to the desktop but only in monochrome: Color gives this screen: With the cable set to RGB I get a black screen with a single reddish-brown vertical line on the left side of the screen. I can hear the keypress "beep" so I'm assuming the computer is running but I could use some help from you gurus diagnosing this? I know the chips came from a non-working ST so I'm a little suspicious of them (thinking the Shifter possibly).
Some questions:
What other jumpers do I need to install (I know I need to install jumpers for the floppy 720k/1.44mb and A/B select) or what did I miss?
I have a GAL22V10D iirc this is for using a 1.44mb floppy? Does that only work in 2.06 or will it work in 1.04 also?
What is the unmarked jumper by the CPU? (guessing its a bypass if you're using one of the IO Ports for CPU)
Can someone enlighten me on what the two DAC jumpers do?
S2 MIDI Synth? Source for this part?
Would love to post a screen of my favorite game but its color only
