Oooh, why one of those, RAM upgrades are a pain.

Yeah, I know. I designed a 4Mb ram upgrade board specifically for that motherboard. But I need to test it on a working motherboard and mine does not work any more. I had desolder everything on mine previously when I did a Phoenix board a couple of years ago. I tried resolder sockets and make it working but it does not. So I can't be bother to get that going.
The board is 0,8mm thick and I plan to solder tack it in place straight onto to motherboard without pins.

Re: Wanted: C103253 motherboard
I forgot about this post.
I found a "non-working" motherboard on eBay and it had the white screen with black boarder symtom if I remember correctly in it's description. So I took the chance since that probably is ram fault and I was correct. Three bits was missing and a trace was fixed and it's was up and running for a bit. Now all that ram is desoldered on that board as well as the adjacent decoupling caps. Had to order new PCB since I was off by 0,635mm... So need to check for shorts on motherboard, solder the new ram-pcb, then solder that to the motherboard and then solder the MAD9 wire. That's the state of this project at the moment.
But thanks anyway. I might need it anyway if things go really bad. Hopefully not.
