The N64 has landed

Well, it's here:

Overall condition is great, so only really needs a clean externally and it seems to power up, in as much as the LED comes on. Sadly it looks like there isn't a RAM pack installed, just a jumper pack, so that's something else to get.

The controller should be here in a day or so, however I have a huge issue with the SD cart I ordered.

It has apparently been delivered to a residential address in Wigston, Leicestershire, which is not at all where I live as I'm over in Essex, and the seller on Ali Express is being uncommunicative.

Not a happy bunny that's for sure.

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

My wife has an N64 (and I think Perfect Dark is her favourite game on the N64, closely followed by Goldeneye which uses the same basic engine IIRC).

So, maybe I need to see about some potential upgrades for her N64 as a surprise for Christmas... ;)

I'm sure she'd be pleased :)

Hopefully!

Maybe the other option would be to get Quadralien running on a system for her to play (I think that was the game you set up on one of your display computers back at CL 2.0 @PhilC ?) :D

Maybe I should get a poll from the forum members to see which one is 'best' (and why).

Options for platforms would be :-
STF/STE/Falcon (ST536, TF536 too for STF/H4/H5, Falcon has DFB1X)
Amiga A500 (but only with 512k RAM at present)
BBC Model B/Master 128 (6502 CoPro or Z80 CoPro for BBC B)
PC (pretty much anything from a 386SX up to a 64 bit CPU) = so , possibly emulated version to run on this as well
XBox (Original/360/One)
N64
DS Lite
Wii
Switch

Alternatively, if anybody wants to 'donate' the platform to run it on as well...
