I haven't got one of these portable appliances that most people seem to have. Today I tried to help someone who has install and use one of these so called apps, which the Insurance company that recommends it says is the best way to contact them and to get things done. It turns out that you need multiple other things to use it, such as a PIN and refuses to work unless you use another app to identify yourself, which also requires you to comply with other things in order to work.
So, the reality is that it is not easier and quicker to use this app as they claim and its main function seems to be one of controlling what you may and may not do. Such surveillance and controls are not in the interest of people in general.
What is the alternative to the app? Write a letter per hand with a pen, send a fax or an email. That is much easier and more convenient. Of course, you can be sure that politicians and firms will attempt to ban such alternatives in order that everyone carries their control and surveillance device with them at all times.

Definitely raised a chuckle with me and what really was the icing on the case was the iWatch watch user who shook it and then put it up to their ear to see if it was ticking.
