Morning all.
I'm trying to recreate my original Atari 8 bit setup and the last thing really is a CX 80 Trackball, so if anybody has one they want to dispose of, please give me a shout.
Thanks.

Re: WTB: Atari CX80 Trackball
You might have to import one from USA. CX80 and CX53 are relatively cheap over there but £££ over here.
They were being discussed this week in the Acorn circles because they used to be modified to work as an AMX mouse

Yeah, I saw some posts over on stardot.alexh wrote: 28 Sep 2024 09:55 You might have to import one from USA. CX80 and CX53 are relatively cheap over there but £££ over here.

As for price, yes stupid over here and seem to be quite rare, but I need to balance that with the shipping costs from the US, but I have definitely got to look over there, you're right.
I've literally found one on eBay...
Also, prices of the CX78 are getting high too, especially considering the new version, the CX78+) is available new on Amazon for £20. Theres even a wireless version coming (I've pre-ordered one) that's just £35.

It's OK if I select "UK", but the shipping fees are still steep...

You're right. I can change the country flag and it shows expensive fees, while stating "may not ship to the UK". Weird...rubber_jonnie wrote: 28 Sep 2024 13:08 Sorry, yes I meant UK, it won't even show me shipping options.

Trouble is, I at $40 plus god knows what shipping, it's about as much as a UK purchase.HigashiJun wrote: 28 Sep 2024 13:18You're right.
