At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Retro Magazines Ep:02 - C&VG - Christmas 1981

It's December of 1981 and we are closing in on Christmas.
What will be the big stocking fillers this year?
Will Santa be brining you a ZX81 for you to solder together, or a sparkly new Apple II tower of power?
Or maybe its a handheld Puck Man or one of the new fangled Game and Watches from Nintendo.

This is a jam packed edition where £69 kit computers vie for column inches with the Vic 20,
Atari 800,  Apple II+ and TRS-80.
Join me to find out exactly how Christmas 1981 shook out over here in the UK for the micro kiddies.

@Retronaut This is the start of a great little series! Well done. :)

I particularly like the way you set the scene for 1981. Not just the computers, but the current events at the time.

I think you are spot on with this.

For me, its not just the systems and software, but the culture and the adverts.

This is made evident in the Computer magazines of the time (although some I remember were a really dry read! )

Do keep it up.

Thanks, more in this series soon.

Indeed, computers were part of the culture of their day, of course. For example, I was kind of shocked by some of the illustrations in C&VG, which these days would be seen as really quite racist. So yeah... that was interesting. But it is fun to go back and see things as they WERE, and not so much as we remember them. Its now 40+ years and counting...
