I have my Original CD32 (I purchased in 1993) - it's now pride of place plugged in to the living room TV with it's TF330.
It has been unused for a long time before this. I used to have an SX-1 plugged in to it but that decided to give up it's Magic Smoke in the early 2010s.
Sometime when using it in 2015 as a standalone unit - I was playing CD32 games then suddenly the Audio started to output the CD Data out of the audio channels.
I then put it back in storage as playing CD games with that noise was a pain.
Fast forward to now, the machines is excellent with WHDLoad and OS3.2.2.1 using the TF330.
My son loves it and him using PPaint on TV and making games with RedPill is a joy for weekends.
But it still has the Audio CD problem - it also developed a new problem where the CD laser assembly gets stuck around Track 7 - I replaced it with a brand NOS laser assembly and rails from eBay and it also developed the same problem after a couple of weeks of use :(
I noticed @matt020 had the same Audio Problem - Could I ask did you fix yours - work out a root cause?
I'm going to send it off to get repaired and recapped as it now deserves a lot more love - but thought I'll put this question out.
Cheers

Re: CD32 CD Data noise over audio output and CD laser jamming
Ok, the issue I encountered was only when using the TF Riser, which I believe isn't yet finished.
Without the riser, it's fine. When using any other riser, it's fine. It is just the TF riser that caused CD data to come out through the audio ports.....

I expect its causing the base voltage on one of the MUTE transistors to shift just enough to cause it to not mute.
