My dream job Interview at the Bitmap Brothers

In the Summer of 1994 an unbelievable opportunity fell into my lap.
I spotted an advert in a games magazine.
The Bitmap Brothers were looking for a new member of their team.
Bizarrely, I had EXACTLY the qualifications they were looking for.

Join me, as I retrace my steps, from 30 years ago,
when I headed along a road in Wapping, East London,
knowing that if I played my cards right, I might work at my dream job,
at my favourite game developer, the legendary Bitmap Brothers.

Awesome. Cool to watch.

A friend of mine, Alan, who I worked with at Argonaut (1997-8) had previously worked at Bitmap Bros. I think he worked on Z but I don't remember.

Alan? I beleive there was a voice artist, who worked on Z. Was he a voice artist?

I "worked" for Argonaut for a week or so, maybe in 2003 ish? They had a Bionicle (lego) game, and needed some particle effects for the games intro, and I produced those. So, not actually worked there, but its a game credit, so cool eh?

Just wondering, was Alan a voice artist?

Not that I know. He was a programmer. He would have been very young. He would have been there after the classic era. Sometime between 1994-7

I was there between 94-96 as I recall, I know there was no Allan at that point. It was a small office, a couple of guys worked from home, but apart from that everyone was in the office. But of course, he may have worked there 96 onwards, as there was a new team who worked on the new Z game. There was a LOT of churn at the Bitmaps it appears. Not sure why....
