TF1230, KS3.2.2 with ehide, problems
Just got myself 3.2.2 ROMs with ehide and trying to boot from 32Gb card (OS3.2.2) which is on TF1230. CF-reader is buffered.
It boots but crashes quite fast if I do anything. Card works from internal ide just fine.
The question is (tried to google answer too but no luck): do I need the ehide module/driver still in AmigaOS if it's is KS? And if I do, how do I install it?

Re: TF1230, KS3.2.2 with ehide, problems
Are you using a quality CF card like Sandisk? also I think Kingston cards can give you problems I think, and have you tried a IDE to SD card as I find these work very well, If you have the ehide in the 3.2.2 roms then you do not need to load that module
And lastly there is a new Firmware out that fixed a bug regarding OS 3.2.2 and file transfers( used to hang the system), so update it if you have not already

There was a recent FW update for this.

I got this 32Gb: https://amigastore.eu/908-amigaos-321-cf-card.html#/
and this: https://amigastore.eu/en/857-kickstart- ... 322.html#/
Didn't know there was new FW for TF1230... Just programmed quite old version there to get Nexus7 demo working.
Edit: I have this tf1230r1_2021_10_30_alpha.zip so where I can find newer one? Search and Google don't help...

New firmware by Terriblefire below, just make sure you select the right one for the CPLD that is used on your TF1230

Great! Thanks! My questions can sound a little stupid but I got my first ever Amiga few months ago and never used any Amiga before at all. I have learned a lot in short time but still there are some holes and sometimes even google don't fill them.supaduper wrote: 31 Jul 2024 18:32 New firmware by Terriblefire below, just make sure you select the right one for the CPLD that is used on your TF1230

I've heard that IDE speed can be boosted by loading KS ROM in to fast ram, is there a difference with 030/50? Any possibility for issues?
Still I'm learning how to do it...

It will be faster if you have an MMU. If not it wont.dj_pirtu wrote: 31 Jul 2024 18:45 I've heard that IDE speed can be boosted by loading KS ROM in to fast ram, is there a difference with 030/50? Any possibility for issues?

Everyone on Exxos is here to help not ridicule, we do not see any question as stupid, that`s why it is probably the best retro site around 8-)
As Terriblefire says install the MMU libs and MUfastrom for some extra speed

JTAG chainpos: 0 Device IDCODE = 0x59616093 Desc: XC95288XL
Device is blank
Programming Sector 107.
Programming time 20836.2 ms
Verify Sector 107
Success! Verify time 6919.5 ms
Got the new firmware programmed but no difference. Still gives errors, data corruption, crashing etc.
This is rev 2b motherboard and I haven't removed those two capacitors which can help with the clock signal... But, everything works flawless when CF-card is on the motherboard so don't know.
CF-reader is from amigastore too, buffered one.
