I know a few have done homebrew games.. though anyone know of anyone who may write a simple menu system ?
Was toying with the idea of a 2600 multi game cart and uses switches to select the games.. though now wondering if I added a PLD software could select the game instead... a bit tricky as only have READ from the ROM port.. but I am sure it could be worked-around.
Idea to have all the games in a ROM , but first bank would hold a list of game titles, like a text file really.. so the software would need to read the first ROM location, output to the screen for a menu.. press fire to select.. need some way to talk to the PLD to select the games rom address.. and then reset the CPU (assuming possible via software) so the game then loads..
..just thinking out loud :)

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: 2600 software programmers ?
Way over my head. Any graphics programming on the 2600 is programming in "hard mode".

Sean Kelly did made a 265 in 1 multicart with a menu and one with switches but Activision put a stop to that! I've got the multicart that use switches to select the games, I don't know if there any info on that net about both version of Sean Kelly 256 in 1 multicart. Here a pic of the one that use switches, this is not my cart. ;)

I hope you don't mind but I've been doing some digging on AA I've found screen shots of the menu for Sean kelly's menu driven 2600 multicart.

Re: 2600 software programmers ?
Thanks for that. Looks awesome bit of kit and looks like hes done exactly what I was thinking of doing. I will send him a email, see if I can become a UK distributor for him.
