Hi Forum,
My Atari 1040stf when cold runs normal and when hot just shows white screen when switched on and no seek on floppy. Diagnostics comes up with either E9 error or red white blue white screen background. I have cleaned the contacts with ISO. Before I open the computer and re-seat the chips wanted to get your guidance what may my be the issue here. When cold the diagnostics shows zero problems. Attached some pics. Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest that you connect to a serial terminal such as Teraterm on a PC and see what the output is before going further.

You'll need a USB serial dongle for a start. Then install "SerialTools" from the app store. You should then be able to set up a terminal emulator and the serial parameters to connect (with the correct cable).
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
