STF installation of dual TOS card with decoder and 2 chip relocation

Post by gigi92 »

Hello I have an ATARI STF and I ordered the dual TOS card [0245] with the decoder [0248].I intend to install with the procedure 2 CHIP RELOCATION C070789. I have a doubt about the connection: CE SELECT must be soldered on aux and at Pin 8 is on the 74LS11 IC or on The white wire on the bottom left of the decoder, both? It's not clear to me. Is it possible to tell me the exact connection in this case ?
Thanks in advance

CE SELECT has 2 options.

GLUE decoding where it will only work with TOS102/104 for example.

AUX is linked to the decoder board for the new TOS206 decoding to work.

There is a relocation for that dualtOS board also, which I assume is where your stuck at ? But if you using the decoder board, then you don't need to worry about the LS11 anyway.

So assuming your doing this..

That white wire goes to the decoder board and not the LS11, assuming your using a 104/206 ROM.

Thank you for this very quick feedback, Yes I will use the TOS 1.04/2.06. It's clear now I plug everything in as in the photo except for the white wire that I connect to the decoder. The GLU on which I have to connect the decoder on this card is the U56?

No, its the other PLCC chip towards the right of the motherboard.

I'm afraid hotlinking isn't allowed on the forum you need to upload the image as attachments properly.

Here we are, I'm a little afraid of twisting the pins, let's thumb up and that's it?

As long as pin1 is correct then your good to go. Don't forget it needs a wire to the dual tos board.
