Hi Forum,

need your insight please.

Backgorund: I have an Atari 1040STFM with TOS 1.04 and got a used SD2ST adapter with it in 'unsure' status.

I bought another SD2ST adapter with bootable SD card with the Mr. Putnick solution and HDmenu, which works fine. see pics of mounting process and PCB front and back side. Sorry for the upside own.

I now tried to use the same power adapter and same SD card on the other SD2ST adapter and does not mount.
When plugged in red and green LED come on and stay on. LED near SD slot where card is inserted flashes briefly. When ST is switched on the green LED goes off and red LED stays on. not mounting.

I tried to find some solution on the net and here on the forum but unable to locate. What am I missing please. I tried both SD slots on the old SD4ST adapter. Same result.

If the status 'is unsure' it could be a bad blue pill.

Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

Hi There,

I know. However, as start sequence of old and new one is same (both lights on when ST is off) and green one turns off when when ST is switched on gives me some hope. Don't want to give up on the 'unsure' one, as looks ok. Maybe need a reflect.

Any other ideas what it could be please? Thanks.

you could try this: https://mecrisp-stellaris-folkdoc.sourc ... -v1.6.html

It will test and at least let you know if the BluePill is good or not and once ruled out you can start to look at other areas.

It seems like the adapter is the issue as you say the SD card works on other machines with a different adapter, so that is at least one thing to rule out.

Does the SD2ST adapter write any logs to the SD card, and if so, what do they say?

just wondering... moving red jumpers (both) from the current pos (which is 2-3) to 1-2 make any difference?
