DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

ESP-01 Slip device / portmap question

Post by Zaspath »

Hey guys,

I've setup an ESP-01 module and it connects fine to the internet via MiamiDX, I wanted to setup the Amiga with a FTP Server for small file transfers from my PC. I think it needs port forwarding setup on Port 21, does anyone know the correct rule command for portmap? Last time I had a go, I managed to corrupt the ESP-01 somehow (or created a bad port map), I then had to erase and reflash :D

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, yes, I know the syntax. Does internal IP relate to 192.168.240.2 or the IP assigned to by my router?

It would be the port connecting to your Amiga as it's routing the port from the public interface and needs to know where to send the packets.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

I had the problem of not being able to connect to the ftp server, luckily I found this post. So the correct command to open port 21 for FTP is:

Code: Select all

portmap add TCP 21 192.168.240.2 21
Same for other ports; RSH is 514, Telnet is 23.
