Potential shipping issue

Post by coonsgm »

@exxos

Just a heads up that it looks like an order I placed for an H5 board might be in the process of being returned to you (at least that's what the tracking looks like).

Funniest part is that the components I ordered for the board itself later that day, sockets, ROM, ports, etc arrived just fine. My guess it's the lovely USPS system....happy to pay for shipping again especially if it was my or USPS's fault.

The USPS never ceases to surprise me with levels of incompetence. I've had international shipments returned to sender because my mail delivery person wouldn't be bothered to walk to the door to get a signature...or even leave a message that they tried.

When I had an Amiga 1000 rejuvenator out for delivery, I ambushed my postal delivery person (I was watching the mailbox around mail delivery time and walked out as he pulled up...an advantage of remote working) as they were about to drive away from my mailbox to ask about the package.

He said "oops, here it is" and pulled it out of the back....he was about to drive off....

Reminds me of a ireland one we had a few weeks back it bounced for no reason. I even asked the guy in the post office and he was puzzled. We sent it back out again and got through fine. I think they are just rejecting packages for no particular reason, other than maybe pure laziness. Dunno.

I can only think some dimwit put it on the wrong plane and instead of continuing its journey in the USA they put it on a UK plane :shrug:

Came home just and found it sat in the hall way :roll: . Not sure what's going on, but seems to suggest insufficient address :shrug:

Can you take a photo of the address? Funny thing is I got another package from you with all the parts for it…. It was probably my fault maybe not entering all the information. Although I won’t put it past USPS doing stupid things.

I looked on your last 3 orders and you have exactly the same address. So someone has screwed up in the mail system somewhere. I'll get it shipped out on Monday again.
